ClownHouse (formerly WikiBox) is a collective of Twitch creators founded by Scout Young and Alfred Coleman around June 2019.[1] Its members are include voice actors, Vtubers, illustrators, and musicians based in the United States and Canada.
Among many live series and podcasts, ClownHouse is primarily known for its co-production of the SnapCube improv comedy web series SnapCube's Real-Time Fandub, and its complementary series BTDubs.
Etymology
The name "ClownHouse" is a portmanteau of the Twitch usernames of its co-founders — "Clown_depot" (Scout Young) and "PaperBoxHouse" (Alfred Coleman), respectively.
Prior to 2020, the group was named "WikiBox" which was a blend of the co-founders' Tumblr usernames instead of their Twitch usernames — "paper-mario-wiki" and "paperboxhouse", respectively.

ClownHouse (founded as WikiBox, later WikiBox and Co thanks to a viewer poll) was formed around June 2019.[1] The group was spearheaded by a pair of voice actors and streamers, Scout Young and Alfred Coleman, and later expanded to their mutual friends.
A site on The Booru Project was made on September 11, 2019 for the group's fans to share fan art based on events and jokes aired on their livestreams.[2] On September 27 that year, ClownHouse organized a fundraiser to help Alfred Coleman in acquiring a new computer, in which they reached the goal of $1500 in under 25 minutes, raising over $2500 by the end of the stream.[3]
SnapCube's Real-Time Fandub, an improvised comedy fandub series by Penny Parker (based on Real-Time Fandub by Charley Marlowe) was one of the earliest and most significant productions to involve the group, as its voice actors were becoming household names as early as the show's fifth episode. ClownHouse's association wouldn't be mentioned by name until "Until Dawn - Part 1" with the debut of some new members.
A Discord server dedicated to the group was launched by fan and Discord user RobintheBaird on April 4, 2020, to later be promoted by Scout on Twitter. Several months later the server transferred ownership to the group, giving it its official status. The original server owner left by the end of 2020.[4]
Three months before her first appearance on BTDubs (SRTF's complementary bonus series), Sophie Armstrong joined the team.[5] On April 28, 2021, Mar Katoto, Robby Fregosi (Robbydude), Jackson Eldridge (LumberJack2on) and Holly HollowTones were confirmed as new additions to the group. Duke of Ash was also appointed social media manager and currently helps run the Discord server of the collective, remaining until December 2022. On November 17, 2022, frequent collaborator qwertibo would join the creator group.[6]
Founding member Scout would discontinue her streaming endeavors in December 2022, although she would still appear in her friends' streams on occasion.[7]
Charity
Since its formation, ClownHouse has collectively raised over US$36,000 for numerous charities such as the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, Reclaim the Block, Gamers Outreach, Trans Lifeline, and many others.[8][9][10][11][12]
